Blockbit, a company specializing in the cybersecurity market, announced the return of Eduardo Bouças as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bouças is the founder of Blockbit and led the company as CEO from 2016 to 2019. He then became Chairman of the Board of Directors and now returns to the helm to begin a new phase of expansion.
“I am very happy and excited about my return to the helm of Blockbit, a company that I successfully founded and has grown quite a bit over the years. Blockbit is a state-of-the-art cybersecurity products company that already has more than 3,000 enterprise customers and protects more than one million assets in Latin America, North America and Europe,” said the CEO. “In this new phase, our goal is to further accelerate our growth and strengthen our business pillars, especially our products and partners.”
In addition to Blockbit, Bouças is also the founder of Cipher, a cybersecurity company created in 2000. As leader of Cipher, he led two multimillion-dollar rounds of Private Equity investments. In 2019, as the majority shareholder, it closed the sale of Cipher to Prosegur.
With more than 5,000 clients, Blockbit is one of the leading manufacturers of cybersecurity solutions, empowering businesses to protect themselves against a wide range of threats, vulnerabilities, and cyberattacks, whether internal or external, generic or specific.
